Start the new year right in Shinjuku at SM World in Night. This is an all night affair beginning at 19:00 on Sunday January 10, 2010 and winding up the next morning at 05:00.

My friend and I did, indeed, make it over to Kabukicho on Monday evening to check out what was going on at Loft/Plus One. Neither one of us had detailed information on the event. The only thing we knew was that the celebrated Mira Kurumi would take the stage.

As I mentioned earlier, Mira Kurumi is one of the hardest practitioners of SM in Japan -- of those who ply their trade in public, at least. I used to consider Shima Shikou a hard player, and still do, but Kurumi makes even Shima look rather tame.

Now, while it's still fresh in my mind, here are my impressions of FetiSM, the event I brought to your attention in a previous post.

First, the event was organized by our own esteemed blogger, Kogure, and this was the first time she had organized such an event. She deliberately chose a smaller venue, Cozmo's Cafe in Shibuya, simply because she couldn't have had much of an idea as to how many people would actually show up.

She needn't have been concerned. The place was packed. To the gills. In terms of the number of people that attended, this debut event by Kogure-san was a smashing success.

Don't miss this event this Saturday at Cozmo's Cafe in Shibuya. FetiSM, organized by Kogure of KogureGold and featuring Arisue Go of Hana to Hebi fame. Plus other performers and a DJ. Reasonably priced.
